IPL 2024 Purple Cap: Updated After Gujarat Titans vs Delhi Capitals Match No. 32

The 32nd match of the IPL 2024 was a pure thriller. The bowlers set the stage on fire. After having a great start, Delhi Capitals kept dominating the opponent. The Ahmedabad fans witnessed some exciting bowling performances which brought some notable changes to the Purple Cap list. 

Delhi Capitals Bowling Brilliance:

The Narendra Modi Stadium has witnessed one of the best performances by the Delhi Capitals. After winning the toss, Delhi Capitals skipper Rishabh Pant won the toss and decided to bowl first. That decision nailed the game. Ishant Sharma got his first success after dismissing Shubman Gill in 8 runs. After that, Mukesh Kumar struck back and dismissed Wriddhiman Saha. 

After that, the Gujarat Titans kept losing wickets consecutively. When Rashid Khan was batting on 31, Mukesh Kumar dismissed him. He ended up taking three wickets. Ishant Sharma took 2 wickets in 8 runs. Tristan Stubbs got 2 wickets in 11 runs. Khaleel Ahmed and Axar Patel took 1 wicket each. 

Gujarat Titans’ Decent Try:

The target was easy to chase but the Gujarat Titans bowlers gave some exciting competition to the Delhi Capitals bowlers. In the beginning, Spencer Johnson dismissed Jake Fraser-McGurk in 20 runs. After that, Sandeep Warrier took Prithvi Shaw’s wicket. He ended up taking 2 wickets in 40 runs. Rashid Khan took 1 wicket in 12 runs. Delhi Capitals defeated them by 6 wickets.
