IPL 2024 Finals: SRH Scores 113 Runs, Lowest Score Ever In An IPL Finale

The last match for the IPL 2024 season is going on at the M.A. Chidambaram Stadium in Chennai between the two finalists Sun Risers Hyderabad and Kolkata Knight Riders.

The two teams have finally come together for the final face off of the season, after 73 matches between all the teams that have participated and fought to get the trophy and the title of the IPL 2024 champions.

SRH won the last toss of IPL 2024, and opted to bat first in today’s match. The team scored a total of 113 runs in the first innings, with quite a few hiccups from their side.

SRH makes another record in IPL 2024

This season of IPL 2024 has recorded a lot of records, with few of them being made by the SRH team single handedly. The team has a renewed energy, with their captain Pat Cummins making some of the best decisions in the team’s favor.

However, the record SRH made today is not something to be proud of. The team, has become one to score the lowest number of runs in the finals of IPL history. 

With 113 runs under their belt, SRH has given a target of 114 runs for KKR to chase. The target does not seem to hard to achieve, but with the kind of pitch today, anything could be possible.

SRH star batsmen lose wicket with low runs

Today’s match had the fans turning towards the SRH star batsmen in hope. Abhishek Sharma and Travis Head, the fearless openers of SRH could not perform today, scoring 2 and 0 runs respectively.

SRH Captain Pat Cummins was the highest scoring batsman for SRH in today’s match, scoring 24 runs. Cummins was followed closely by Aiden Markram who could muster up 20 runs before losing his wicket on Mitchell Starc’s bowl. Both Markram and Cummins lost theri wickets to Pat Cummins’ bowling.

Russell takes away 3 SRH wickets

KKR’s right-arm pacer from Jamaica, Andre Russell has bowled to take away 3 wickets in today’s match. 

The bowler has taken away wickets of SRH captain Pat Cummins, Abdul Samad and Aiden Markram. 

On the other hand, Harshit Rana and Mitchell Starc have both taken 2 wickets each, while Varun Chakaravarthy and Sunil Narine have taken single wickets on their bowls.

Currently, the KKR batsmen are trying to show their energy off in the second innings.
