IPL 2024 Finals: SRH Practice Session Canceled Ahead Of Clash Against KKR

After the conclusion of 73 turbulent clashes that went up for two months, the IPL 2024 season is coming to an end. The season’s finale is scheduled to be held in Chennai on Sunday, 26 May.

In the finals, Kolkata Knight Riders will take on Sunrisers Hyderabad at the MA Chidambaram Stadium in Chennai on Sunday for the elusive title. Both KKR and SRH had finished top of the table respectively in the league stage.

SRH has no practice sessions planned

SRH has just finished up with their last match against Rajasthan Royals to get a spot for playing in the finals. The match was enthralling to watch for fans and critics alike.

Ahead of the big game in Chennai, Sunrisers canceled their practice session for the finals and chose to go for a rest day amid the humidity in the city, which was recommended after their match on Friday.

Gautam Gambhir is mentoring KKR and the team has not only practiced for the upcoming finals on Friday, but they’re also working in the nets on Saturday.

KKR had defeated SRH in the qualifier 1 of this season. 

In their last 5 matches, KKR has won 5 fixtures while SRH has won just 1 match.

Kolkata had finished at the top in the IPL 2024 points table at the league stage followed closely by SRH. However, SRH lost their match against KKR in the qualifier 1. 

KKR had previously lifted the trophy in 2012 and 2014 under the leadership of Gautam Gambhir and lost to Chennai Super Kings in the 2021 final. 

SRH on the other hand, has won just 1 IPL title, back in 2016 while they lost an IPL final against CSK in 2018. The team is appearing in the finals for the first time in the passion years.
