IPL 2023: Lucknow vs Chennai match rescheduled due to this reason

The match between Chennai Super Kings and Lucknow Super Giants has been rescheduled due to elections. The schedule for the home game between the Lucknow Super Giants and the Chennai Super Kings has changed, meaning there will only be one Thursday double-header in the IPL 2023 season as opposed to two.

In IPL 2023, doubleheaders were scheduled between April 20 and May 4. Nevertheless, due to the Lucknow Municipal Corporation election in the North Indian city, CSK’s away game there has been pushed back from May 4 to May 3.

IPL Release said

“IPL 2023 match 46 between Lucknow Super Giants and Chennai Super Kings, originally scheduled for Thursday 4th May 2023 in Lucknow, has now been rescheduled for Wednesday 3rd May 2023,” an IPL release said.

“The fixture has been revised owing to the Lucknow Municipal Corporation election on 4th May. There has been no change in match timings and the game will begin at 3:30 PM IST,” he added.

The evening game between Punjab Kings and Mumbai Indians on Wednesday, May 3, will start at 7:30 pm at the IS Bindra Stadium in Mohali.

After losing a high-scoring thriller on their trip to Chepauk earlier in the IPL 2023 season, the home team will be trying to put pressure on MS Dhoni’s team in this IPL encounter, which will be the first time Lucknow hosts Chennai Super Kings.
