Former captain of the Indian National cricket team, MS Dhoni arrived at Chennai on Wednesday. The Chennai-based franchise will be having a camp for the squad and Dhoni will be leading the same. Dhoni was sporting a white t-shirt. Chennai Super Kings took to their social media and welcomed their captain for the upcoming season of the Indian Premier League. “Thalai-Vaa! The senior batsman Ambati Rayudu of CSK was the first one to reach Chennai. He will be joining Dhoni and few domestic players for the camp. The camp, reportedly, is going to start in the second week of March. This will be the first time Dhoni will be seen in competitive cricket since IPL 2020, held in the UAE. The Indian cricket board is yet to confirm the schedule and venue details for IPL 2021.

Ahead of 2021 IPL

Chennai Super Kings had a tough and forgetful IPL 2020. They could not make it to the playoffs for the first time in the history of the league since 2020. No wonder, Chennai Super Kings want to start the preparations early to get back to the form at the soonest ahead of the 14th IPL. CSK had organized a preparatory camp last year in Chennai as well which had to be canceled due to the pandemic. In fact, they had a rocky start as few of their members has tested positive for Covid-19. After having a tough 2020, Chennai Super Kings must be hoping for a fine 2021.
