IPL 2020: Things to Watch Out For KKR vs SRH Match

IPL 2020 Match 8 is going to be an important one. Sunrisers Hyderabad and Kolkata Knight Riders, both sides will be coming after facing one loss each. Both teams will be determined to claim a win on September 25 to be on a safer side.

Overseas players of SRH

Overseas players from both teams have failed to live up to the expectations in their respective first fixtures. From Sunrisers Hyderabad only Jonny Bairstow managed to add 61 runs to end as the highest run-scorer of the team on that day. David Warner, the skipper was dismissed for six and Rashid Khan ended up without claiming a wicket. Mitchell Marsh could only bowl four balls after injuring himself and later came back to bat at No. 10 to get out for a duck. Marsh has been already ruled out of the league as Jason Holder, the Windies captain has replaced him in the squad

KKR overseas core

In the Kolkata Knight Riders camp, there are always huge expectations from Sunil Narine and Andre Russell. Pat Cummins had a really tough time against Mumbai Indians after conceding 49 runs in three overs. Eoin Morgan is another name who must rise on time if KKR wants to have a good campaign. The Russell power has won a number of matches for the Riders even in the last edition of the league. His performance is vital for KKR to take a convincing lead in the lead.

Indian batters from both teams

Next comes the Indian’s batsmen from both sides. Dinesh Karthik and Nitish Rana put some effort last time out which was not enough to chase down 196 runs. At the top Shubman Gill must click along with Narine considering the high scoring edition this has been. For Sunrisers Hyderabad, the same is applied to Manish Pandey, Priyam Garg, Vijay Shankar, Abhishek Sharma. Garg and Sharma would love to utilize this grand platform. On the other hand, after Ambati Rayudu’s showing when the World Cup 2019 controversies are back to the headlines, Vijay Shankar would love to perform to justify BCCI’s decision of including him ahead of Rayudu back then.

Sunil Narine vs Rashid Khan

Sunil Narine has been a mainstay for Kolkata Knight Riders for a long. Narine plays for the Trinbago counterpart of the side in the Caribbean Premier League. Even in the recently concluded CPL edition, he was contributing with both bat and ball. The all-rounder in the truest sense had a tough time with the bat last time out in IPL 2020 first match against Mumbai Indians. A good knock from him at the top is what KKR should expect in their second fixture. But Narine here has to face Rashid Khan. The No.1 T20I bowler has a good record in UAE which means Narine might not be a smooth time with bat tomorrow. The battle can be a deciding factor in the result.
