Ben Stokes will be finally joining Rajasthan Royals for Indian Premier League 2020. He is set to leave New Zealand according to a report on Mirror. Stokes, who is another important overseas player of Rajasthan Royals will add more value to the team.

Ben Stokes has been unavailable for sometime on cricket field because of family issues. He had to leave Pakistan Test series midway when his father had been diagnosed with cancer. Stokes later revealed the medical situation of his father meant he was unable to keep himself in cricket. He missed two Tests against Pakistan followed by Australia’s limited-over series against England. Now as he is all set to join his IPL franchise in UAE on October 3, Rajasthan Royals posted his picture from flight on their official social media account and wrote, “Stoked. 😁✈️#HallaBol | #RoyalsFamily | @benstokes38 “.

Rajasthan Royals have already won two of their three matches defeating Chennai Super Kings and Kings XI Punjab before losing to Kolkata Knight Riders. Stokes will be able to add depth and value especially at the lower batting order of his side. Shane Warne also told PTI, “Hopefully, Ben Stokes would play a part this year, he’s a big loss and our thoughts are with him, but you know, add Ben to the team that played the other night and it looks a very, very good side.”
According to the latest quarantine rule in Indian Premier League, Stokes will have to observe a period of six days isolation and test negative twice before getting nod to hit the ground. Stokes is likely to be available for the October 14 match against Delhi Capitals in Dubai. Technically, he might be available for the match against Sunrisers Hyderabad on October 11 too. He is probably going to replace Tom Curran.
