IPL 2020: Lara Predicts the Final League Match Result

The league stage of IPL 2020 is going to end on November 3 in the UAE. The final match is to be played between Sunrisers Hyderabad and Mumbai Indians. This match is important for SRH and they will have to win the match to qualify for the next stage. Meanwhile, SRH has got the support from a legendary cricketer.

Lara’s vote for SRH

At Sharjah Sunrisers Hyderabad will have a major face-off in the last IPL 2020 group league match today. The Hyderabad side has to win the game to qualify for the top four. On the other hand, while Mumbai Indians have no risk and they can play freely, the win of Mumbai Indians will make Kolkata Knight Riders qualify to the top four. So, the importance of the match is supreme. Brian Lara, the West Indies legend believes that Sunrisers Hyderabad can win the match as Mumbai Indians can rest a few players.

“Mumbai Indians may be easing off, rest a few players which will favor SRH, but I think they have got to be ready for this quarter-final and for the rest of the tournament. If they win, they are in and I think they have got what it takes to do so,” Lara said on Star Sports show Cricket Live.

Sharma back to captain MI

Mumbai Indians, Delhi Capitals, and Royal Challengers Bangalore have already advanced to the next stage. Kolkata Knight Riders are currently occupying 4th place but thanks to the Net Run Rate of SRH, they can easily replace KKR if they manage to win this last game.

As Lara expected, Mumbai Indians decided to rest a few of their key players which is beneficial for Sunrisers Hyderabad. However, Rohit Sharma is back to captain the side. After losing the toss, Sharma said, “Throughout the tournament, there has been a lot of talk about the toss, and we need to take toss out of contention and play good cricket. Looks like I’m fit and fine. We are resting some key bowlers – Bumrah and Boult will rest, Pattinson and Dhawal Kulkarni will replace them. I am coming in in place of Jayant Yadav.”
