Indian Premier League 2024 Orange Cap: Updated After Royal Challengers Bengaluru vs Kolkata Knight Riders Match No. 10

The 10th chapter closed in the IPL 2024. In the tenth match, Royal Challengers Bengaluru faced Kolkata Knight Riders at the M. Chinnaswamy Stadium in Bengaluru. The Chinnaswamy spectators experienced another masterclass by King Kohli. That knock of unbeaten 83 earned the Orange Cap for him again.

After losing the toss, RCB came to bat first. In the first innings, RCB batters kept losing frequently. Skipper Faf du Plessis was dismissed on 8 runs in 6 balls. After that, Virat Kohli and Cameron Green started to build a partnership. But Cameron Green was dismissed on 33 runs in 21 balls. Glenn Maxwell also returned to the pavilion after scoring 28 runs in 19 balls. 

Rajat Patidar and Anuj Rawat walked out early. But after all these, Virat Kohli stood tall and batted. After Anuj Rawat got dismissed on 3 runs, Dinesh Karthik joined him. He added 20 runs to the scoreboard. But Virat Kohli ended the innings with an unbeaten 83 runs in 59 balls. In that innings, he smashed four boundaries and four over-boundaries. After that amazing knock, he retrieved the Orange Cap again. 

Dazzling Display by the Nights:

While batting in the second innings, the Knights gave a dazzling start. Phil Salt and Sunil Narine’s opening partnership was worth 86 runs. Sunil Narine missed his half-century and walked away on 47 runs. But that didn’t affect the performance. Salt scored 30 runs in 20 balls. 

Coming at number 3, Venky Iyer played exceptionally well. He scored an amazing half-century. He walked away after scoring 50 runs in 30 balls. Shreyas Iyer played an unbeaten on 39 runs in 24 balls. He finished the match with a six and retired to the pavilion unbeaten.  Rinku Singh was unbeaten on 5 runs in 5 balls. They won the match by 7 wickets.
