Indian Premier League 2024 Orange Cap: Updated After CSK vs RR and RCB vs DC Match No. 61 and 62

Fans experienced another exciting Sunday with two thrilling matches of IPL 2024. In the first half of the day, Chennai Super Kings and Rajasthan Royals locked horns at the MA Chidambaram Stadium in Chennai. The second match of the day saw a clash between Royal Challengers Bengaluru and Delhi Capitals at the M. Chinnaswamy Stadium in Bengaluru. The batting performances of the batters shattered the Orange Cap table.

The 61st match of the IPL 2024 has seen an exciting clash between Chennai Super Kings and Rajasthan Royals at the M. Chinnaswamy Stadium in Bengaluru. While batting first, the Rajasthan Royals batters struggled. After giving a decent start, Yashasvi Jaiswal walked out after scoring 24 runs in 21 balls. Buttler was dismissed on 21 runs. Dhruv Jurel played a knock of 28 runs in 18 balls. Riyan Parag remained unbeaten till the end scoring 47 runs. RR scored 141 runs in 20 overs. 

On the other hand, Chennai Super Kings played a team game. While batting in the second innings, they gave a good start but Rachin Ravindra walked away after scoring 27 runs in 18 balls. Daryl Mitchell scored 22 runs in 13 balls. Shivam Dube contributed 18 runs in the match. But while leading from the front, CSK skipper Ruturaj Gaikwad remained unbeaten on 42 runs and secured a 5-wicket win for the team. 

RCB’s Brilliant Batting and DC’s Struggle:

In the second match, Royal Challengers Bengaluru locked horns with Delhi Capitals at the M. Chinnaswamy Stadium in Bengaluru. While batting first, Bengaluru batters showcased their excellence. After losing Faf du Plessis’ wicket early, Virat Kohli and Will Jacks tried to build a partnership. But Virat Kohli was dismissed on 27 runs. After that, Rajat Patidar joined Jacks and gave a boost to their innings. Jacks scored 41 runs in 29 balls and Patidar played an innings of 52 runs in 32 balls. Cameron Green played an unbeaten knock of 32 runs in 24 balls. They scored 187/9 in 20 overs.

In the second innings, Delhi Capitals struggled against the RCB bowlers. Initially, Delhi faced an early setback as David Warner was dismissed in 1 run. Jake Fraser-McGurk scored 21 runs in just 8 balls. Sai Hope scored 29 runs in 23 balls. That was a crucial knock. Axar Patel scored an exceptional half-century and played a knock of 57 runs in 39 balls. But the other batters didn’t get a chance to stand strong in front of the bowlers. They ended their innings with 140 runs and Royal Challengers Bengaluru won the match by 47 runs.
