The tournament becomes another day older. In the seventh match of the tournament, Chennai Super Kings and Gujarat Titans locked horns on the big stage of the M. Chidambaram Stadium in Chennai. Cricket enthusiasts across the country have experienced another pure brilliance by the team. That thrilling match brought some notable changes to the Orange Cap list.
Chennai’s Batting Brilliance:
In the second match of the league, Chennai Super Kings met Gujarat Giants on their home ground. While batting first, the Chennai openers played a crucial role in sealing the second match. Skipper Ruturaj Gaikwad and Rachin Ravindra made an amazing partnership of 62 runs. That was a big boost. Both of them missed half-centuries but scored 46 runs each. Those 46 runs by Rachin Ravindra made a good impact on Orange Cap’s list.Â
Shivam Dube played his ‘Impact Player’ role beautifully. After Rachin and Gaikwad’s dismissal, CSK needed a crucial knock. Dube ended up doing that. He scored 51 runs in just 23 deliveries including 2 boundaries and 5 over-boundaries with a strike rate of 221.74. Lastly, Sameer Rizvi was amazing. He smashed two back-to-back sixes against Rashid Khan. In 6 balls, he scored 14 runs.Â
Titan’s Batting Failure:
The target was not that easy to chase. But Gujarat gave a good start until Gill lost his wicket on 8 runs. After that, Wriddhiman Saha was dismissed on 21 runs. Sai Sudharsan came as an impact player but ended up scoring 37 runs in 31 balls. Even David Miller failed to play an impactful knock. He got out on 21 runs. Omarzai added 11 runs but all the efforts fell short. Chennai Super Kings won the match by 63 runs.
