ICC Cricket World Cup 2023 Most Runs: Updated After Australia Vs. Pakistan Match 18

The 18th match of the ICC Men’s Cricket World Cup has just concluded between contenders Australia and Pakistan. Australia emerged victorious in a magnificent showdown where the the Men in Yellow registered a record breaking victory against Babar Azam and Co. After winning the toss, Pakistan chose to bowl first with Australia showcasing its dominant batting abilities. The Men in Yellow defeated Pakistan by a margin of 65-runs at the R. Chinnaswamy Stadium in Bengaluru. Pakistan was exposed to its second straight defeat after the team lost against India on October 14th.

Australia posted 367 for a loss of 9 wickets with Babar’s side getting dismissed for 305 runs at 45 overs. David Warner and Adam Zampa were the heroes with the bat and ball while from Pakistan’s side, Shaheen Shah Afridi and Imam-ul-haq performed well for the team. Rizwan acquires the top-most position

Pakistan batsman and wicket-keeper Mohammad Rizwan has jumped at the top of the rankings table with 294 runs having scored 48 runs in today’s match against Australia. Rohit Sharma and Virat Kohli are the leading batsmen at the 2nd and 3rd positions respectively. David Warner’s magnificent 163 runs off 124 deliveries made him enter number 6th with a total of 228 runs. Pakistan’s Abdullah Shafique made a re-entry in the table at 9th position with 197 runs in total. Australian batsmen batting prowess led them strongly in the match and it’s players emerged dominant than ever before breaking multiple records.
