Virat Kohli, India’s leading and sensational cricketer, one the world’s best, is gaining a lot of praise from everyone from former cricketers to fans for a splendid World Cup campaign recently on the home ground. Several cricketers spoke about the fact that Kohli’s effortless contributions for Team India is just unbeatable and that the records he registered during the marquee event is just insane.
The 35-year old batsman hit a total of 765 runs for Team India, the most number of runs in the history of the World Cup. He also emerged as the Player of the Tournament after smashing and registering several unbeaten records, with one of them being his 50th ODI century which he registered in the semi-final match against New Zealand.
Words full of praise
England’s emerging talent, Harry Brook recently spoke about the talents of Virat Kohli and Heinrich Klassen and heaped praise on them by saying that he had learnt a lot from both the cricketers. He reckoned “Virat Kohli is the greatest ever ODI cricketer now. The way he takes singles and doubles to construct his innings is magnificent. Some of his knocks in the World Cup were unbelievable.” He also lauded England’s Heinrich Klassen for a brilliant century at the Wankhede stadium in the World Cup. “Klaasen takes the game deep. He identifies the weak bowlers and then take them down”, he added.

Talking about Harry Brook’s showdown for his team, the 24-year old cricketer wasn’t able to justify his selection in the recent ODI games as well as in the just concluded 2023 World Cup. However, the management has still chosen to back him for the 2027 World Cup. Recently, he was released by the SunRisers Hyderabad in the IPL 2024 auction ahead of a forgettable campaign in the IPL 2023 season.
