Here’s the Reason why Yashasvi Jaiswal is not playing Today’s T20 World Cup 2024 Match 8 Against Ireland

The team is in good form and looking forward to having a good start. But in their playing xi for the inaugural match of this edition,  some changes happened. Yashasvi Jaiswal is not playing against Ireland. The T20 World Cup 2024 has come back. The West Indies and the USA are hosting the tournament. All the teams are gearing up well. In their inaugural match, India is facing Ireland. Coming straight out of IPL, all the players are in great form. Before facing Ireland, India faced Bangladesh in their only warm-up match. But before stepping into the game against Ireland, Team India faced a notable change. 

Young opener Yashasvi Jaiswal is missing out being on the playing xi of this match. In the IPL, he performed well in the first half but struggled a bit in the tournament in the last part. After making debut for India, Jaiswal become a trustworthy opener for the team. But unfortunately, he is missing out on the game. 

In Jaiswal’s absence, Virat Kohli will open with Rohit Sharma. Even though he plays at the number 3 position in the Indian team he has an exceptionally good track record. In the recently ended edition of the IPL, Virat Kohli opened for RCB and ended up with the tournament being the highest run scorer.

Toss Update:

Team India is facing Ireland in their first match of the tournament. Initially, Team India’s skipper Rohit Sharma won the toss and opted to bowl first. After winning the toss, he said, “We’re going to bowl. Preparations have been alright. Have been managing ourselves in these new conditions. Has been challenging but we are all professionals. We played on a similar pitch and do know what to expect a little bit. I know it’s going to be slightly different from what we’re used to. But that’s what the sport is. Not sure about the conditions too much, so thought having a target in front of us would be good. Guys missing out are Kuldeep, Sanju, Jaiswal and one more.”
