Reason Behind Joesph’s Absence:

After showcasing his extraordinary talent against Australia, Shamar Joseph came into the IPL arena. Before the match against Kolkata Knight Riders, he had to wait for his IPL debut. At the Eden Gardens, West Indies star Shamar Joseph made his IPL debut. But the debut match was not remembered. He conceded 47 runs in 4 overs but remained wicketless.

That had a huge impact on that match. He conceded runs in crucial situations. Before stepping into the second match, LSG management made a strategic move. They rested Joseph and allowed Matt Henry.

At the time of the toss, LSG skipper KL Rahul updated  about the change. He said, “ The pitches have been relaid here. Each time you play, it can be different. Just one change. Joseph is out, Matt Henry comes in.”

The Toss Update:

After losing the last two matches, Lucknow Super Giants stepped into the match with a setback. In this match, KL Rahul won the toss and opted to bowl first. After winning the toss, he said, “We’ll bowl first. Looks like a good wicket, dew hasn’t been a big factor. Hopefully, it stays good for 40 overs. We would like to know what we are chasing. There weren’t any blunders we made. Last game against KKR was a big defeat. Still pretty relaxed. I know it’s the halfway mark. As a leadership group, if we panic it spreads. That’s not what I like to be. Great support staff. We are trying to keep as relaxed as possible. The pitches have been relaid here. Each time you play, it can be different. Just one change. Joseph is out, Matt Henry comes in.”
