In a righteous decision, MI captain Hardik Pandya has announced at the toss that Indian fast bowler Jasprit Bumrah has not been included in the playing XI of MI and has been rested ahead of the T20 World Cup 2024. The move is a significant one in favor of the Indian cricket team, especially since the players do not get any time to rest before the upcoming ICC tournament.

MI Captain Hardik Pandya has announced at the toss that despite being an important asset to the Mumbai, the Indian pacer Bumrah is not in the playing XI of MI for today and has been rested ahead of the T20 World Cup 2024.
Hence, the reason for Jasprit’s shelving today is justified, as it serves a greater cause. There have been three special developments in the Mumbai playing XI in today’s match. The team has included Arjun Tendulkar in the team.
Arjun is the son of Indian batting legend, “master blaster” Sachin Tendulkar, and did not play any of the initial matches for MI. Today’s match would be a debut in IPL for Arjun.
Additionally, Tilak Varma got sidelined from today’s team due to an injury.
The third player to be missing from the playing XI is Tim David. This season has been challenging for the five-time champions, with inconsistencies in both their batting and bowling departments affecting their performance.
