Here’s the Reason why Azam Khan is not playing Today’s T20 World Cup 2024 Match 22 Against Canada

Pakistan is all set to play in their third match of the ICC T20 World Cup 2024 as they are scheduled to compete against Canada in match 22 out of 55 of the tournament.

The teams are engaged in the match after playing 2 games against different teams earlier in the tournament. While Pakistan has faced two losses back to back, against the USA and India respectively, Canada has 1 loss against USA and a victory they gained in their match against Ireland. The match is being played at the Nassau County International Cricket Stadium in New York. Pakistan has won the toss, and the team’s captain Babar Azam opts to bowl first in today’s match.

Azam Khan not playing in today’s match 

Team Pakistan had raised several eyebrows as they brought back the team’s ex-player Azam Khan back to play in the T20 World Cup 2024.

Khan had earlier seeked retirement from all forms of cricket and his comeback had shocked cricket experts and fans all alike due to his poor health conditions.

Azam had also not performed well at all in Pakistan’s first fixture of the tournament, against USA and was rested in India vs Pakistan on 9 June.

Azam Khan getting bullied? 

Pakistan’s captain Babar Azam was seen body-shaming Azam Khan as he called him a “bull” during their practice, the videos of which have now gone viral.

“Ye mera genda seedha nahi ho raha” said Babar in the video, pointing towards Azam Khan.

Azam Khan has been replaced by Imad Wasim in the team. Wasim was earlier recovering from a side injury, and has regained his spot in the team after getting better.
