England’s sensational batsman Harry Brook rose as an emerging star for England and made his IPL debut in the year 2023. He was roped in by SunRisers Hyderabad in the 2023 season for INR 13.25 crores. Unfortunately, Brook could not rise up to the expectations and ended up just hitting a century for his team in the whole tournament. He had scored a total of 190 runs in 11 innings, and ahead of a forgettable IPL campaign, he was released by the SRH in the IPL 2024 auction.
After his 2023 IPL campaign, he criticized the Indian fans by saying “There are a lot of Indian fans out there who’ll say well done tonight. But they were slagging me off a few days ago. Glad I could shut them up.” However, it seems that Harry is finally making some regrets over his disappointing statements.
Regretting his sayings
According to BCCI Sports, Brook was ashamed of his statement regarding Indian fans as the cricketer stated “I was an idiot and I said that stupid thing in an interview which I regret a little bit. In India, you end up sitting in your hotel room, not much to do so I find myself just scrolling Instagram or Twitter or whatever and come across stuff you just don’t want to see. I thought it was the right idea to get off it. I’ve obviously still got Instagram and Twitter but thankfully I’ve got someone running it for me.”
Harry Brook also confirmed that he will be taking a break from his social media as right now, he wants to put all his focus on the game. Though, he will remain active on Twitter and Instagram but he is making sure to prioritise things beforehand.
Current vows
Harry is currently in the Caribbean for the ODI and T20I series against West Indies. In the ODI series opener against West Indies, Harry smashed 71 helping England to post 325 runs. The second ODI match is set to take place on December 6.
