Indian cricketers Hardik Pandya and KL Rahul recently appeared on a popular talk show Koffee with Karan, hosted by the famous Bollywood director Karan Johar. The show is in its sixth season and it was the first time that cricketers appeared on the show.
However, the show wasn’t well received by the audience as the cricketer-duo might have expected. They made some controversial comments which sparked controversies. Especially, Hardik was a lot more open in his responses to questions about getting intimate with women. He was quite frank in making remarks about being with multiple women.
Even though Rahul was a little subdued, yet he wasn’t dodging the questions. Also, when asked who the better batsman between Sachin Tendulkar and Virat Kohli is, both chose the latter. It also didn’t go down well with the Indian cricket fans who love Tendulkar.
Hardik Pandya issued an apology
People turned to social media to show their dissent. The duo received massive criticism for their irresponsible behavior on national television. Later, Hardik issued an apology and mentioned that he got carried away on the sho and didn’t intend to hurt anyone.
“After reflecting on my comments on Koffee with Karan, I would like to apologise to everyone concerned who I may have hurt in any way. Honestly, I got a bit carried away with the nature of the show. In no way did I mean to disrespect or hurt anyone’s sentiments. Respect,” wrote Hardik Pandya on Twitter.

However, as per reports, the Committee of Administrators (CoA) of BCCI is planning to punish the duo. Earlier, the board had issued a show-cause notice for their behavior. Now, Hardik and Rahul might even be suspended for a couple of matches. There could also be an official enquiry about the matter.
