Harbhajan Singh Makes a Massive Point in Comparison between Babar Azam and Virat Kohli

According to former Indian off-spinner Harbhajan Singh, Babar Azam, the captain of the Pakistan national cricket team, still has a long way to go before he can bat on par with Virat Kohli. A fan war between the fan bases of Kohli and Babar on numerous social media sites is sparked by the heated cricket rivalry between India and Pakistan.

Cricket fans usually draw analogies between the Indian batting prodigy and the Pakistani captain. Both of these batting stars hold each other in the highest regard and have frequently been spotted admiring one another in the past.

Harbhajan asserts that Virat Kohli has already cemented his spot as one of cricket’s all-time greats, whilst Babar still has a ways to go. Despite Babar’s noteworthy exploits, many ex-players frequently preferred Kohli due to his international cricket expertise and regular appearances on huge stages. Additionally, Azam should develop his T20 batting skills, according to Harbhajan.

Harbhajan Singh states the following in a video posted to his YouTube channel:

“Virat Kohli has already etched his name among the elites, whereas Babar Azam is still in the nascent stage of his journey towards greatness. He possesses extraordinary talent and will inevitably ascend to the summit. Although he excels in Test cricket, T20s may not be his most ideal format.”

Former Pakistan paceman Shoaib Akhtar, also known as the Rawalpindi Express, concurred with the eminent Indian spinner’s comments regarding the resemblance between Kohli and Babar during the discussion on his YouTube channel.

In the shortest version of the game, Akhtar emphasised Babar’s development and criticised the unfair harshness of the criticism directed at him.

“Virat Kohli is undoubtedly the greatest, and Babar Azam is in the process of becoming one of the greatest batsmen ever. He is striving to improve his performance in T20s. People unjustly target him without reason,” added Akhtar.

India and Pakistan will compete in the forthcoming Asia Cup in 2023 and a highly anticipated match in the ODI World Cup in 2023. The Asia Cup itinerary has not yet been made public, despite the fact that the ODI World Cup match between the bitter rivals is scheduled for October 15 at Ahmedabad’s Narendra Modi Stadium.
