“Go, get em” Sarfaraz Khan receives a heartfelt wish from Chris Gayle ahead of his Team India debut

Being a budding cricketer, it is every player’s dream to represent his country at the highest level. The dream was even the same for the Mumbai batter Sarfaraz Khan. The batter struggled to make a spot in a Team. Finally, in the second Test match of the series, Sarfaraz Khan got the maiden India call-up. After that, he is getting congratulated. After his selection, Universe Boss Chris Gayle congratulated him.

Sarfaraz Khan’s Maiden Call-Up:

India‘s return to a home Test series against England faced a tough start, stumbling in the first match despite early dominance. A spectacular bowling display by England led to India’s defeat by 28 runs. Post-match, setbacks hit the team with Ravindra Jadeja‘s hamstring injury and KL Rahul‘s right quadriceps pain ruling them out of the second Test.

In a highly anticipated move, Sarfaraz Ahmed stepped in as Rahul’s replacement, marking a significant call-up for the consistent and impressive batter. As India seeks redemption, all eyes are on Sarfaraz’s potential impact in the upcoming crucial Test.

In the upcoming 2nd Test, all eyes are on the battle for a spot in the XI between Sarfaraz and Rajat Patidar, the talented Madhya Pradesh batter who has been part of the squad since the first Test. With both players eager to make their mark, the competition promises to be intense as India seeks to bounce back after a challenging start to the series against England.

Chris Gayle’s Story for Sarfaraz Khan:

After getting selected for Team India for the Test series, the Mumbai batter is getting wishes from all his well-wishers. At this time, he got a very special wish from Chris Gayle. The Universe Boss shared a picture of him and Sarfaraz Khan and wrote, “Go, get ’em” and mentioned Sarfaraz Khan. That wish caught the attention of the netizen.

Chris Gayle and Sarfaraz Khan shared the same IPL journey, starting as teammates at Royal Challengers Bangalore and later reuniting at Punjab Kings in the latter stage of Gayle’s IPL career. Gayle, the West Indies legend, has frequently expressed his admiration.

In the first Test match, Team India faced a defeat of 28 runs. Virat Kohli is not on the team as he has withdrawn his name from the first two Tests due to personal reasons. In the first Test, the English bowler, especially Tom Hartley bowled exceptionally well in the second innings. The first match went in England’s favor. The next match is scheduled to happen on February 2 at the ACA-VDCA Cricket Stadium in Vizag. Team India will try hard to register their first win.
