Since the beginning, KKR has been on the pick of the domination. The SRH batters didn’t get a chance to stand tall. They started feeling more pressurized when their batting collapsed early. 

In that crucial situation, Rahul Tripathi and Heinrich Klaasen were making an impactful partnership. Tripathi completed his half-century and made a 62-run stand with Klaasen. As the partnership was going strong, KKR bowlers were struggling to stop them. But in the 11th over, Varun Chakravarthy dismissed Heinrich Klaasen and that was a big wicket. 

While sitting beside batting coach Abhishek Nayar in the dugout, Gambhir pumped his fist in excitement and cheered loudly as KKR broke the partnership, dismissing SunRisers’ key batsman and sending him back to the pavilion. That moment grabbed eyes.

After having an exceptional season in this IPL, KKR entered into the playoffs as the number one team. While batting first, Sunrisers Hyderabad Travis Head and Abhishek Sharma were dismissed early, but Rahul Tripathi’s steady innings of 55 runs and Heinrich Klaasen’s contribution of 32 runs helped stabilize their total to 159 runs. KKR’s bowlers, led by Mitchell Starc and Varun Chakravarthy, excelled in limiting SRH’s scoring opportunities.

In the second innings, Kolkata Knight Riders continued their dominance with Rahmanullah Gurbaz and Sunil Narine providing a solid start.
