All the top 10 teams that got qualified for the 2023 World Cup tournament have been truly exceptional in their forms. Among them, India has been leading on the ICC Rankings Table after having emerged victorious in all nine out of nine games it played. Meanwhile, none of the teams got defeated in all the matches it played. In other words, no team swept the league stage with 0 wins. 

This time, on asking the World Cup favourites, people have reckoned that it is India but not to be ignored, other semi final qualifiers like South Africa, New Zealand and Australia also had a magnificent showdown. While India and New Zealand will take on each other in the first semifinal round on November 15, South Africa and Australia will lock horns against each other on November 16. After the semi-final stage, the cricket world will be ready to witness the most crucial moment of the tournament, the finals at the Narendra Modi Stadium on November 19.

After the conclusion of the League Stage, fans and former cricketers have been stating their Playing XI teams, along with World Cup favourites and debutant players. Recently, former Indian cricketer Irfan Pathan on its official Twitter handle remarked his “Best 5 Debutants” in the 2023 World Cup, who are Rachin Ravindra, Shreyas Iyer, Marco Jansen, Azmatullah Omarzai and Dilshan Madushanka.

New Zealand’s batsman and also Indian origin Rachin Ravindra has been mindblowing in the tournament, the 20-year old batsman has continuously proved that there is nothing difficult for him. India’s all-rounder and ace batter Shreyas Iyer is another exceptional player who significantly contributed to India’s win in the league stage. 

South African Marco Jansen comes at the 3rd position, his striking ability to take wickets has been his top favourite for Irfan Pathan. Fourth is Afghanistan’s Azmatullah Omarzai whose century did all the talking about him on the internet at such a young age. The last debutant is Sri Lanka’s bowler Dilshan Madushanka who remained at the top among the leading wicket takers.
