Royal Challengers Bengaluru captain Faf du Plessis took a screamer of a catch to get rid of Chennai Super Kings all-rounder Mitchell Santner in an all-important IPL game at the Chinnaswamy Stadium on Saturday.
The catch took Mitchell Santner’s wicket, while Md Siraj was bowling. Faf almost flew in the air to take the impressive catch.
RCB’s batting innings
In the first innings of today’s match, RCB has scored a net 218 runs. The score is pretty impressive, yet not a surprising one.
According to statistics, RCB needs to win today’s match by more than 18 runs after scoring 200+ runs to get into the season’s playoffs. The team seems to be on the right track with their score
Faf du Plessis has also been the player who scored the highest number of runs for RCB in today’s match. Captain Faf scored 54 runs off of 39 balls. The South African lost his wicket in an unfortunate turn of events in a run-out by Statner.
It is ironic that Statner and Faf took each other’s wickets in today’s match.
