Dodda Ganesh takes a cheeky dig at KL Rahul

Lucknow Super Giants skipper KL Rahul has been under the hammer for playing slow in the IPL. The talented KL Rahul played a sedate knock of 68 runs off 61 balls which killed the momentum of the game against the Gujarat Titans.

KL Rahul, the captain of the Lucknow Super Giants, has amassed the most runs for the team in the IPL 2023 as he pursues the Orange Cap one more time. The top batter, however, has been the center of the ongoing IPL strike rate controversy after his lethargic half-century performance in the low-scoring match against Gujarat Titans in Lucknow, where the team lost in the final over, sparked the most outrage.

An ex-Indian cricketer has now launched a savage attack against the LSG captain, using a massive Ajinkya Rahane jab. After the loss, Dodda Ganesh, a seasoned Indian bowler, launched an abrasive attack on the under-fire LSG captain by making a comment about Rahane.

Rahane has been a pleasant surprise in the IPL 2023. After being dropped from the Indian Test team last year, Rahane has made a storming start to the new season, amassing 209 runs in five innings for Chennai Super Kings (CSK), including two half-centuries and a strike rate of 199.04.

Rahane has the greatest strike rate among hitters who have faced at least 100 balls in IPL 2023, and on Sunday at the Eden Gardens, he showed off his exquisite stroke play by scoring an unbeaten 71 as CSK defeated them by 49 runs.
After this knock, the Karnataka bowler took a cheeky dig at the dynamic opener KL Rahul.

Dodda Ganesh Tweeted

“Rahane he has shown that with intent you can do wonders. If only KL Rahul understood this #IPL2023,” he tweeted.

Rahul said after the match

“[I] obviously wasn’t trying to bat really deep, but still trying to play my shots, still trying to take on the bowlers I fancy,” Rahul had said. “They bowled quite well in the two-or-three-over period between Noor and Jayant [Yadav]. And probably we should have taken a couple of more chances. We had a few wickets in hand but, look, it wasn’t an easy wicket for the batters to come in and get going straight away. Set batter – you obviously want them to play and finish the game for you.”
