The Board of Control For Cricket in India (BCCI) took to Twitter to inform fans about Mukesh Kumar’s request for leave and the subsequent inclusion of Deepak Chahar. The tweet read, “Update: Fast bowler Mukesh Kumar made a request to BCCI to be released from Indiaâs squad ahead of the third T20I against Australia in Guwahati… Pacer Deepak Chahar has been added to Indiaâs squad for the remainder of the series.”
Mukesh Kumar’s Impressive Stint
Mukesh Kumar, who played two games in the series, picked up one wicket but showcased remarkable skills at the death, delivering precise yorkers. Despite his low-key presence in the media regarding his wedding plans, the news came to light when Deepak Chahar was seen practising before the game.
Mukesh Kumar’s leave is granted for the duration of his wedding festivities, and he is expected to rejoin the squad ahead of the fourth T20I in Raipur. It’s likely that Deepak Chahar will make way for Kumar in the upcoming game, marking a temporary transition in the fast-bowling lineup.
