No wonder Mahendra Singh Dhoni was recalled while doing the post. He is known as Thala in the southern part of India for his continuous association with the CSK team. Thala means the leader and the CSK rightly welcomed the second generation of the CSK family.

The off-spinner Harbhajan Singh congratulated the couple as well and wrote, “Congratulations @ImRaina and Priyanka for the baby boy.”

Raina, IPL hero

The left-handed batsman and the new father is a mainstay of the Chennai Super Kings batting line up. His long association with this Indian Premier League franchise has made him a famous and loved face among the CSK fans. Raina presented India in a number of international matches too. In fact, he is the only Indian batsman to have scored centuries in both ODI and T20I World Cups. He has played 18 Tests, 226 ODIs and 78 T20Is for India so far. He also scored a century in his maiden Test.

Indian Premier League meanwhile was postponed to at least mid-April amid the pandemic globally. Chennai Super Kings began their camp at the beginning of March but had to call off that as well to prevent the further spread of the COVID-19 in India. Raina who started practising for the IPL 2020 left Chennai for home after that.
