Brosid Sports LLC, headquartered in the USA, unveiled the debut edition of the Legends Intercontinental T-20 League at a press conference held in New Delhi on Thursday. This announcement marks the beginning of an exciting venture in the world of cricket. The league promises to bring together legendary players from various cricketing nations, offering fans a thrilling spectacle of cricketing excellence. With its inaugural edition, the Legends Intercontinental T-20 League aims to carve a niche for itself in the global cricketing landscape.
The Legends Intercontinental T-20 League:
Set to unfold from August 15 to August 29, the league will showcase iconic players from diverse continents at Moosa Stadium, situated in Texas, USA. This anticipated event promises a riveting display of cricketing prowess and global talent on American soil. With stars hailing from different parts of the world, the league aims to captivate audiences and elevate the sport to new heights.
Former India wicketkeeper-batsman Parthiv Patel and Australian cricketing icon Brett Lee graced the event, adding prestige to their roles as brand ambassadors for the Legends Intercontinental T-20 League. Their esteemed presence underscored the significance of the league’s launch, further enhancing its appeal and credibility. Patel and Lee’s endorsement reflects the league’s global recognition and its ability to attract esteemed personalities from the cricketing world.
The Teams of That League:
Vishal Sharma, the league’s CEO and a former Ranji player, took the stage to reveal the teams, tournament itinerary, and key players, setting the stage for an anticipated cricketing extravaganza. With meticulous planning and anticipation, Sharma ensured that the league’s framework, including participating teams and marquee players, was unveiled, promising fans an enthralling spectacle that celebrates the essence of cricket on an international platform.
Commencing on August 16, the tournament will witness seven formidable teams – Indo Kings, Asian Avengers, Euro Rangers, American Mavericks, Trans-Tasman Titans, African Lions, and Caribbean Vikings – competing for the inaugural championship title. The LIT-20 will adopt a single round-robin format, with the top four teams progressing to the knockout stage. Twenty-four thrilling matches are scheduled, with each day hosting double-headers. The semi-final is slated for August 27, culminating in the grand finale on August 28.

Those days we played together, we fought on the field and shared great rivalry. Still, people want to see legends playing. So, just excited and looking forward to competing in what will be a cricket extravaganza.”
Brett Lee expressed, “It’s always great for us to see guys that I’ve played against my whole career. I think that’s great, seeing that sport does. It allows an opportunity for us to catch up again.
