Captain Kane Williamson Takes Precautions and sits Out the Rest of the 2nd T20I Due to Hamstring Tightness

After ending the series against Australia, Pakistan headed to New Zealand for a five-match T20 series. After facing defeat in the first T20 match, Pakistan is locking horns with New Zealand in the second T20 match. But after reaching 26 runs, New Zealand skipper Kane Williamson walked away after being retired hurt. As per the reports, he will miss the rest of the match as a precautionary measure.

The Half-Century and the Retire Hurt:

After a long injury setback, Kane Williamson came back to New Zealand’s T20 squad. In the first match, he played well and carried the form in the second match. In the last delivery of the 10th over, Aamer Jamal bowled a short-of-a-length delivery outside the off stump. Williamson went for a square cut through the point.

The fielder, Iftikar Ahmed tried to stop the ball and failed to do that. But after playing the shot, Williamson was not looking comfortable. It was not a cramp. He walked away from the field. As per the reports, the Kiwi skipper is going to the rest of the second T20 match against Pakistan. That decision was taken because of the precautionary measure. He was experiencing tightness in his right hamstring.
