Cameron Green’s Remarkable Mid-Wicket Catch Dismisses Chase in Thrilling Moment

Along with some exciting Test matches, cricket fans are experiencing some thrilling ODI cricket also. Australia and West Indies are locking horns in a three-match ODI series. After losing the first match, the West Indies team faced setbacks again in the second match. In the Second innings, Cameron Green’s catch in Abbott’s ball caught the limelight.

Exceptional catch by Green:

After ending the Test series on a draw, both teams locked horns in a three-match ODI series. Australia was already leading the series with a win. In the second match, West Indies was hoping to bounce back but their wait continued. In the second match, Australia showcased their excellence again. Besides batting, the Aussie squad displayed amazing bowling and fielding displays. 

Cameron Green is an amazing fielder of the Aussie team. In the Test format, he contributed to Australia’s wins with his exceptional fielding talents. He has done the same in the second ODI against West Indies. In the 41st over, Aussie bowler Sean Abbott came to bowl and an exciting moment was created on that over. 

On the fifth delivery, Abbott bowled a good-length ball. Rostan Chase was on the strike. He wanted to play the ball towards the mid-wicket. At that time, Cameron Green was standing on the mid-wicket. He dived to his left and stretched his hand wide and the ball caught on his fingertips. That was reviewed if the catch was clean or not. It was a clean one. Chase walked away after scoring 25 runs in 41 balls. 

Match Tour:

After winning the first match, Australia was hungry for another win to name the series after them. Australia and West Indies met at the Sydney Cricket Ground in Sydney for the second ODI. After winning the toss, West Indies decided to bowl first. While batting first, Australia lost the first two wickets quickly.  Cameron Green scored 33 runs in 41 balls. Skipper Steve Smith scored 5 runs in 10 balls. 

Matthew Short scored 41 runs in 55 balls. Sean Abbott played a responsible knock of 69 runs in 63 balls in a crucial situation. In 50 overs, they scored 258-9. West Indies bowlers played well. Motie took three wickets in 28 runs. Alzarri Joseph picked up 2 wickets in 74 runs. Shepherd also picked up 2 wickets in 50 runs. 

While chasing the target, the West Indies kept losing wickets quickly. Keacy Carty scored 40 runs in 51 balls. Roston Chase walked away after scoring 25 runs in 41 balls. The Aussie bowlers were amazing. Josh Hazelwood took 3 wickets in 43 runs. Sean Abbott picked up 3 wickets in 40 runs. Will Sutherland took 2 in 28 runs, and Adam Zampa and Aaron Hardie got one each. They stopped the visitors by 175 runs. Australia won the match by 83 runs and bagged the series.
