In a touching act of compassion and solidarity, Mr. Jay Shah, Honorary Secretary of the BCCI, fulfilled the dreams of 12,000 patients dealing with serious health issues such as cancer and thalassemia, along with their families. Even blood donors and blood donation camp organizers who have supported these causes were part of the special invitee list. Their faces lit up with joy as they watched the exciting TATA IPL 2024 match between the Gujarat Titans and Delhi Capitals live at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad.

This heartwarming initiative highlights the challenges faced by those living with cancer and thalassemia, as well as the importance of blood donation. GT vs DC’s Nail-Biting Match:

Delhi Capitals chose to bowl first after winning the toss, immediately putting the pressure on Gujarat Titans’ batting lineup. The Titans struggled to form significant partnerships and were unable to build momentum against the sharp bowling of the Delhi Capitals. GT captain Shubman Gill was dismissed early, scoring just 8 runs, while his opening partner Wriddhiman Saha managed only 2 runs before being dismissed.

Sai Sudharsan added 12 runs off 9 balls, and Rahul Tewatia contributed 10 runs. The standout performance came from Rashid Khan, who scored 31 runs in 24 balls, including 2 boundaries and an over-boundary. However, the rest of the batting lineup failed to make an impact, and Gujarat Titans were bowled out for just 89 runs.

Chasing a target of 90 runs was relatively straightforward for the Delhi Capitals’ batting lineup. Jake Fraser-McGurk scored a quick 20 runs off 10 balls, while Prithvi Shaw added 7 runs. Abhishek Porel and Sai Hope contributed 15 and 19 runs, respectively, before Rishabh Pant sealed the win with an unbeaten 16 runs in 11 balls. Although the target was low, the Titans’ bowlers offered some resistance, with Spencer Johnson and Sandeep Warrier each taking key wickets. Ultimately, Delhi Capitals secured a 6-wicket victory.
