In an interactive Q&A session with fans on social media, Pakistani cricket star Babar Azam revealed, “AB de Villiers is always my dream batting partner. I have played against him but not with him.”
AB de Villiers, known for his innovative batting and match-winning performances, responded to Babar’s choice, saying, “Would have loved to bat with u too my man.”
Babar also praised Steve Smith for having the best cover drive in world cricket. Reflecting on his journey to cricketing stardom, Babar shared valuable life lessons, mentioning, “I have worked as a laborer as well. I used to work in the morning and later do net practice. These are stages of life which give you lessons.”
Babar highlighted two memorable knocks in Test cricket: his century in Brisbane against Australia in 2019 and his 196-run innings in Karachi against Australia in 2022. In white-ball cricket, he mentioned his 158 against England in Birmingham and his T20I centuries against South Africa and New Zealand as his favorites.
Despite Pakistan’s recent struggles in Test and T20 cricket, Babar has continued to shine, regaining form with impressive performances, including half-centuries in three of the five T20Is against New Zealand.
