Are There Any Chances of Shakib Al Hasan’s Comeback in the Match Against India?

Bangladesh Cricket Team’s skipper Shakib Al Hasan had a setback in their last match against New Zealand on October 13 in Chennai. The 36-year old batsman sustained a left quadricep injury while batting, as per the reports. The Bengal Tigers were outed by New Zealand as they managed to chase a target of 245 runs delivered by Bangladesh. The next match is on the floors between host country India and Bangladesh on October 19th at Maharashtra Cricket Association Stadium. Ahead of the game, Shakib Al Hasan’s participation is still uncertain as the batsman is still recovering from the injury.

Some good news on the way for Bangladesh

Bangladesh Team Director Khaled Mahmud confirmed on Monday that there is some good news as Shakib is onto a fast recovery. He stated that he is returning to action with his health being improving day by day. Khaled Mahmud stated “Shakib is getting better. He is pain free. But we will know the full scenario when he hits the nets tomorrow. He will also do the running between the wickets. We are hopeful that he can play against India.”

Expressing the chances of his availability in the match against India, Shakib is likely to practise on the nets tomorrow. If the batsman gets it well without any stress or pain, Shakib Al Hasan’s comeback in the match against India is confirmed. This is definitely good news for the Bengal Tigers as the captain’s role in the team is quite important and Shakib has the potential to lead the team. His role is that of a very crucial one and his presence is expected to boost the team’s performance.
