A big news that was going around on the internet was the wedding of Bollywood actress Anushka Sharma and Indian cricket team’s skipper Virat Kohli. There were rumors that the couple will get married this year in the month of December.
Earlier, there were reports that Kohli had requested the Indian selectors for some time off the field and that he was unavailable in December due to personal reasons. The reports gave rise to the speculations that the duo will get hitched during that time.
But Anushka Sharma has denied such happenings and clarified that these are just rumors. According to BollywoodBubble.com, her spokesperson was quoted as saying, “There is no truth to this whatsoever.”
The chairman of Indian selectors MSK Prasad also cleared that Kohli will be available for the Test series against Sri Lanka this year. But he also mentioned that the 28-year-old will be rested for the subsequent ODI series versus the Lankans.
Wedding vows in a commercial
A few days ago, Kohli and Anushka featured in a commercial video for Manyavar in which the two were seen exchanging modern day wedding vows while attending a marriage ceremony.
The love story of the couple had started after they appeared in a TV commercial a few years back. The duo has been spotted together since on many occasions like Sachin Tendulkar’s movie premiere, on India’s tours of Australia and Sri Lanka.
While the Delhi-lad has been quite vocal about his relationship in the recent times, the actress has maintained a silence. She has dogged every question about her partner very smartly every time a reporter tried to inquire.
Anushka had faced a rage from the fans after India lost in the semi-final of the 2015 ODI World Cup against Australia. The people blamed the actress for Kohli’s lackluster performance post which the cricketer came out in support of her about how she has proved to be a strength for him and not a weakness.
They may not get married right now but the fans would surely love to see them tie the knots in the future.
