Caribbean Premier League 9 Dates Released

Cricket West Indies announced the dates for the upcoming season of the Caribbean Premier League. the ninth season of the CPL will commence on August 26. This time it will be 21-day tournament.

CPL Adjusts Dates for IPL

The CPL 9 dates have been released and as expected it has been adjusted to avoid the clash with the second phase of Indian Premier League. The IPL will resume in the third week of September in UAE and as per the new schedule, the final of the CPL will be played on September 15. Now the CPL will be a 21-day tournament and played entirely at the Warner Park this year. the official statement reads, “Following discussions between the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI), the Hero Caribbean Premier League (CPL) and Cricket West Indies (CWI), the dates of this year’s tournament have been amended.”

Due to the tight schedule, each match day of CPL 2021 will be a double-header day barring a triple-header day on September 12. Both of the semi-finals will be played on September 14 with the final scheduled for September 15.
