Cricket expert Akash Chopra has offered valuable advice to KKR ahead of their match against RCB. He has asked the team not to put together two particular batters.

Kolkata Knight Riders are set to face Royal Challengers Bengaluru when IPL resumes on May 17. For KKR, this clash against RCB is a must-win, as they are nearly out of playoff contention. On the other hand, RCB is in the second position with 16 points. The Rajat Patidar-led team needs one win to qualify for the playoffs.

Chopra’s Advice to KKR

Talking about the KKR vs RCB fixture on his YouTube channel, Akash Chopra offered his advice to KKR. He suggested that Kolkata captain Ajinkya Rahane should avoid batting alongside Angkirsh Raghuvanshi.

Chopra stated that Rahane should avoid putting himself in a position where he has to bat with Raghuvanshi. However, he did not mention the reason. However, one reason could be that both are traditional right hand batters.

“In batting, figure out a way for Rahane and Raghuvanshi not to bat together. They will have to sort out the batting order and determine Russell and Rinku’s entry point slightly early so that they make an impact on the match,” said Chopra while speaking on his YouTube channel.

‘Will need one more fast bowler’

Chopra also highlighted that KKR needs to fit in a spinner in place of Moeen Ali. Anukul Roy could replace Moeen in the playing XI, Chopra said that Chinnaswamy’s ground would favor the pacers. He said that KKR should think about adding another fast bowler.

“You will need one more fast bowler. You can think about Anukul Roy because left-arm spin works against these opposition batters, but I would say don’t think about him. Get another fast bowler because there might be slight help for the fast bowlers on the Chinnaswamy pitch that has been under covers for a long time, and the bounce is also slightly spongy these days.”
