Ishan Kishan marked his return to form with an unbeaten 94 that took Sunrisers Hyderabad to 231/6 against Royal Challengers Bengaluru on Friday.
Sunrisers Hyderabad’s player Ishan Kishan’s form made a comeback against RCB on May 23 with his incredible 94-run knock off 48 deliveries.
Ishan made his debut for Sunrisers Hyderabad by hitting a century. However, after that, he played 10 matches without hitting a double-digit score. He had scored just 125 runs at a strike-rate of 106.83 in 10 innings.
But in Lucknow, he made a dominant return to form. His 48-ball innings, featuring 7 fours and 5 sixes, helped SRH set a massive target for RCB to chase.
Hyderabad got off to a rocking start with rapid cameos from Abhishek Sharma (34 off 17) and Travis Head (17 off 10). Kishan then took over the batting attack and added 94 runs to SRH’s total. He slammed his fifty runs off just 28 balls and maintained the momentum from there.
Heinrich Klaasen‘s (24 off 13) and Aniket Verma’s (26 off 9) innings, although short, helped SRH further their innings and bring the total above 200.
Ishan’s explosive performance came at the perfect time, as selectors will keep an eye on him after this. Ishan was recently named in the Abhimanyu Easwaran-led India A squad for the upcoming tour of England. The two-match series against England Lions will give him a chance to prove how worth and get a spot in the senior team.
