Royal Challengers Bengaluru’s (RCB) pacer, Josh Hazlewood, is sitting out for their clash against Sunrisers Hyderabad. Keep reading to find out why Josh Hazlewood is not in RCB’s playing XI today.
RCB pacer Josh Hazlewood is set to miss their match against SRH at the Ekana Cricket Stadium. This is because the Australian cricketer is currently in Brisbane completing his rehab. It will take a couple of days before he can come back to India.
Hazlewood is expected to be fit in time for the IPL 2025 playoffs and the World Test Championship Final as well. He will most likely join RCB before the playoffs begin on May 29.
Hazlewood has been crucial for RCB this season. He is currently third in the Purple Cap standings with 18 wickets from 10 matches. With an average of 17, his best performance with the ball this season was 4/33. However, as per Australian media reports, Hazlewood has not arrived in India yet.
Royal Challengers Bengaluru is currently placed second in the IPL 2025 points table. They have won 8 out of 12 games and have 17 points after their last washout against KKR.
RCB still has two more games remaining and will need to win at least one to secure a top-two position. After tonight’s match, RCB will play against Lucknow Super Giants on May 27 at the same venue.
