The South African cricket Team is set to face Zimbabwe ahead of the World Test Championship Final in June. The two teams will play each other in a four-day warm-up match from June 3.
The Zimbabwe Cricket Board announced a two-match Test series against South Africa, starting June 28. As per the ICC official website, the Proteas will clash with Zimbabwe in a warm-up match at the Arundel Castle Cricket Ground in Sussex, England. It will be a four-day match starting June 3.
Later next month, South Africa will play against Australia for the World Test Championship title, commencing June 11 at Lord’s in London. The four-day warm-up game will serve as preparation for the WTC final for South Africa.
South Africa last played a Test match in a home series win over Pakistan in January 2025. This warm-up against Zimbabwe will provide them with a chance to adjust to the game before the WTC final.
On the other hand, Zimbabwe are coming off a one-off Test against England at Trent Bridge. England defeated Zimbabwe by an innings and 45 runs, however, Zimbabwe had plenty of positives to take from the match.
The Zimbabwe Cricket Board announced a two-match Test series against South Africa, which will begin on June 28. The Test series will be played at the Queens Sports Club in Bulawayo. It will take place after the ICC World Test Championship Final.
The series is named ‘Battle of Limpopo’ between the teams. The first match will be played from June 28 to July 2, and the second is scheduled for July 6 to 10.
