Overseas Player Participation in IPL 2025: Who’s In and Who’s Out

The 18th season of the Indian Premier League resumes on Saturday, May 17, after being suspended for a week. The suspension came following the rising Indo-Pak military tensions.

Here is the list of all overseas players who are available for the rest of the season. It also includes the temporary replacements and players whose availability is uncertain.

GUJARAT TITANS

Available

Jos Buttler (until end of league stage, set to be replaced by Kusal Mendis for the playoffs). Kagiso Rabada and Sherfane Rutherford (available until the league stage ends). Other overseas players who will play are Dasun Shanaka, Rashid Khan, Karim Janat, and Gerald Coetzee.

ROYAL CHALLENGERS BENGALURU

Available

Jacob Bethell, Romario Shepherd, and Phil Salt (available only for two league games). Tim David, Lungi Ngidi, and Liam Livingstone (until the league stage ends). Sri Lanka’s Nuwan Thushara is also available.

PUNJAB KINGS

Available

Marco Jansen, Mitchell Owen, and Azmatullah Omarzai (until the league stage ends). Kyle Jamieson and Xavier Bartlett are the temporary replacement of Lockie Ferguson.
