Former Indian cricket captain MS Dhoni, celebrated for his leadership and cricketing prowess, was recently spotted enjoying live tennis matches at the ongoing US Open 2023. This appearance comes after Dhoni’s triumphant stint in the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2023, where he led the Chennai Super Kings (CSK) to their fifth IPL title. 

Dhoni’s rest after IPL 2023 

Despite grappling with a problematic knee, MS Dhoni showcased his resilience and cricketing prowess during the IPL 2023 season. Leading the CSK squad, he managed to play in every game without missing a single match. Dhoni’s contributions primarily came through his explosive cameos with the bat. In a season where he faced only 57 balls, Dhoni accumulated an impressive 104 runs at a striking strike rate of 182.46, with an unbeaten 32 as his best score. 

Following the conclusion of the IPL 2023 season, MS Dhoni underwent knee surgery in Mumbai. Subsequently, he opted for a well-deserved rest, spending time at his home in Ranchi for a couple of months. This period allowed him to recuperate and prepare for his next endeavors.
