A match was scheduled for 8 PM today between Peshawar Zalmi and Karachi Kings, but a drone strike has damaged some parts of the stadium.
Visuals of damage at Rawalpindi Cricket Stadium have gone viral on social media, showing that drones had struck the venue ahead of Pakistan Super League.
Pakistani journalist Ihtisham Ul Haq wrote on his Twitter that PCB has decided to shift the remaining matches to Karachi.
The Rawalpindi Cricket Stadium was bombarded by a drone strike fired by India hours before a match of Pakistan Super League scheduled at 8 PM today.
This took place after Islamabad attempted to strike 15 military targets in India, to which India responded by destroying the air defence radar systems in Lahore on Thursday.
Rawalpindi Cricket Stadium was set to host matches on May 7, 8, 9, and 10.
The PCB, on Wednesday, claimed that the PSL matches will take place as scheduled despite the geopolitical tensions. Pakistan’s cricket board has reportedly called an emergency meeting to discuss whether the ongoing league should be halted concerning the safety of the foreign players in the series.

As reported by Telegraph Sport, the England and Wales Cricket Board held an emergency meeting on Wednesday to discuss the ongoing situation.
Seven England cricketers – James Vince, Tom Curran, Sam Billings, Chris Jordan, David Willey, Luke Wood, and Tom Kohler-Cadmore are playing in PSL. Besides cricketers, coaches are also part of the PSL franchises.
“Several are exploring their options and could return home,” reported the English Daily.
