Royal Challengers Bengaluru’s (RCB) batter, Tim David, is sitting out of their clash against Lucknow Super Giants. Keep reading to find out why Tim David is not playing today.
RCB batter Tim David is set to miss their match against LSG at the Ekana Cricket Stadium. He is missing out after suffering a hamstring injury while fielding in RCB’s defeat against Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) on Friday (May 23).
He suffered the issue while fielding in the first innings of the clash against SRH. David came out to bat at No.8 in the second innings and was dismissed for only one run.
“We will field first. Looks like a good wicket, we’ll fancy our chase. Rajat Patidar is our impact player. Looking to win and make it into the top 2. Tim David misses out, Liam comes in, so does Thusara,” RCB stand-in skipper Jitesh said at the toss.
David has played 12 matches in IPL 2025 and has scored 187 runs at a strike rate of 185.15. His best knock this season was an unbeaten 50 runs from 22 balls against Punjab Kings (PBKS) in Bengaluru.
Royal Challengers Bengaluru is currently placed third in the IPL 2025 points table. They have won 8 out of 13 games and have 17 points after losing their last game.
RCB still has one game remaining and will need to win it to secure a top-two position. PBKS has already sealed their place in Qualifier 1 scheduled for May 29.
