Young IPL star Vaibhav Suryavanshi, who recently stunned fans by scoring a century at just 14 years old, was caught up in a false rumour online. Social media was buzzing with claims that the Rajasthan Royals batter had failed his 10th board exams. But the truth is very different.

Viral Rumour Came from a Satire Account

The rumour began when a post by a page named “Satirelogy” claimed Vaibhav had failed his 10th CBSE exams. The post also joked that the BCCI had asked for a DRS-style review of his answer sheets. While the post clearly mentioned that it was not real news and meant for fun, many people didn’t notice the disclaimer and believed it was true.

The joke quickly spread across social media, sparking debates about the pressure young athletes face balancing academics and sports.

Vaibhav is Only in Class 8

According to The Indian Express, Vaibhav is actually a Class 8 student at Modesty School in Tajpur. This means the story of him failing the 10th exams is completely false. The young cricketer is still years away from even appearing for the 10th board exams.

Despite his young age, Vaibhav has already become a key player for the Rajasthan Royals this season. He made headlines earlier by scoring a record-breaking IPL century against Chennai Super Kings, becoming the youngest player in league history to do so.

Focus Returns to Cricket

As the IPL 2025 season heads toward its final stage, Rajasthan Royals are already out of the playoff race. However, all eyes will remain on Vaibhav, who will look to finish the tournament on a high note. The next RR match is scheduled for May 17, and fans hope to see more fireworks from the teenage sensation.

This episode is a reminder to verify news before sharing it, especially when it involves young athletes whose careers and lives are just beginning.
