DC Co-Owner Parth Jindal Issues Apology, Vows to Reflect Following IPL 2025 Exit

Delhi Capitals co-owner Parth Jindal issued an apology to fans after their hopes of getting into the playoffs got crushed. DC was knocked out of the playoffs race after a crushing defeat of 59 runs to the Mumbai Indians.

Delhi Capitals got eliminated from the 2025 IPL campaign after losing to Mumbai indians on Wednesday at Wankhede Stadium.

‘Sorry to all…’

Parth Jindal has reacted to the DC’s elimination after losing their must-win match on Wednesday. He promised the fans that there would be a lot of self-analysis within the team before coming back for the 2026 season.

He tweeted: “Sorry to all @DelhiCapitals fans – like you, I too am reeling from the second half of the season. What started so well ended extremely poorly,” he wrote. “There are positives to take from this campaign, but for now, all focus on the next game which we need to win. Post the season there will need to be a lot of introspection on a lot of aspects.”

DC’s IPL 2025 Campaign

With a new captain, Axar Patel, Delhi made a promising start by winning all the first four matches. However, their fortunes turned, and they lost six out of their next eight matches.

Delhi met their eventual fate on Wednesday at the Wankhede Stadium, after suffering a 59-run loss against the Mumbai Indians. Chasing a target of 180 runs, Delhi got bowled out for 121 runs at the Wankhede Stadium. This elimination means that their wait for entering the playoffs extended to four years.

It was their fourth straight defeat, having last secured a win exactly one month back at the Ekana Stadium against the Lucknow Super Giants.

Delhi’s last match will be against PBKS on May 24. The team will go back and prepare for the 2026 season.
