The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) has announced a robust and diverse fixture list for the 2025 home season, with a focus on preparing the senior women’s team for the ICC Women’s ODI World Cup and giving valuable exposure to India A’s emerging talents.
India’s home season begins with a high-profile clash as the women’s national team hosts Australia for a three-match ODI series in Chennai, starting September 14. This series comes just weeks after India’s challenging limited-overs tour of England in July and will be crucial preparation ahead of the 2025 Women’s ODI World Cup, which India is set to host in October-November.
In a strong push toward talent development, the India A men’s team will host Australia A and South Africa A in multi-format series beginning late September.
The series against Australia A kicks off with two four-day games in Lucknow, followed by three one-dayers in Kanpur. South Africa A’s tour follows, with a key highlight being the hosting of two multi-day matches at the BCCI‘s recently inaugurated Centre of Excellence (COE) — marking the venue’s debut in major domestic cricket.
1st Multi-Day: Sep 16–19, Lucknow
2nd Multi-Day: Sep 23–26, Lucknow
1st One-Day: Sep 30, Kanpur
2nd One-Day: Oct 3, Kanpur
3rd One-Day: Oct 5, Kanpur
South Africa A Tour of India A – 2025 Fixtures
1st Multi-Day: Oct 30–Nov 2, BCCI COE
2nd Multi-Day: Nov 6–9, BCCI COE
1st One-Day: Nov 13, Bengaluru
2nd One-Day: Nov 16, Bengaluru
3rd One-Day: Nov 19, Bengaluru
India will also host the South Africa senior men’s team for a full series across all three formats between November 14 and December 19. The marquee tour includes 2 Tests, 3 ODIs, and 5 T20Is, forming a key segment of the 2025–26 cricket calendar.
The 2025 home season reflects BCCI’s dual goals — preparing the women’s team for a home World Cup and deepening India’s bench strength through regular A-team competition. With top-tier international and developmental cricket scheduled back-to-back, Indian fans are in for a feast of action.
