Virat Kohli’s sister Bhawna posted an Instagram story following RCB’s win over PBKS in Mullanpur on Thursday. After years of disappointment, RCB fans finally have a reason to celebrate and so does Virat’s sister Bhawna Kohli Dhingra.
Royal Challengers Bengaluru have reached the 2025 Indian Premier League final by defeating Punjab Kings in Qualifier 1. This is the fourth time for RCB in the final, first time since 2016.
RCB won the toss and elected to bowl first at the New PCA Stadium on Thursday. RCB bowlers crumbled PBKS’s top order during the powerplay, securing their place in the final .
Virat’s sister Bhawna, along with millions of fans countrywide, celebrated the moment. She posted a story on her Instagram with a ‘Finals’ sticker and an amulet emoji, believed to protect against evil eye.
Her post showed her pride and joy over the team’s journey to the finals. It also reflected her wish to end the 18 year long wait of winning the title .
Bengaluru has previously reached the finals in 2009, 2011, and 2016, but were beaten on all three occasions. Now once again the Bengaluru based franchise has a chance to claim a title win.
RCB put on a strong bowling performance and dismantled PBKS’ top order. Punjab could only manage 101 runs in 14.1 overs. Josh Hazlewood (3 wickets for 21 runs), Suyash Sharma (3/17), and Yash Dayal (2/26) were the reason behind RCB’s easy win.
Bengaluru’s chase did not begin strongly, as they lost Virat (12) and Mayank Agarwal (19) early. However, Phil Salt tipped the scale in RCB’s favour with his stunning 56 off 27 knock. Captain Rajat Patidar stayed not out and RCB reached the target of 102 runs in just 10 overs.
