Rajasthan Royals’ #PinkPromise: Lighting Up Lives with Every Six in IPL 2024

Rajasthan Royals have pledged to solar-power six homes for every six hit during their upcoming match against Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) in the IPL 2024 season. This initiative, known as the #PinkPromise match, is dedicated to women empowerment. The Royals will be wearing special all-pink matchday kits with the names of some of the Royal Rajasthan Foundation’s (RRF) women beneficiaries emblazoned on them.Witness their commitment to making a difference on and off the field with every boundary struck.

The RRF, established in 2019 with the vision of ‘Aurat Hai Toh Bharat Hai’, has positively impacted the lives of over 15 million women in Rajasthan by providing equitable access to water, livelihoods, clean energy, and mental health support.

Solar power is a crucial element in promoting clean energy and sustainability. By powering homes with solar energy, the Royals aim to create more opportunities for livelihoods and contribute to a cleaner environment. The team has also announced that all proceeds from the sales of the special all-pink matchday jerseys will be donated to the Foundation. Additionally, they will donate ₹100 for every ticket purchased for the #PinkPromise match.

#PinkPromise by Rajasthan Royals

The #PinkPromise match will feature various activities, including performances by Rajasthani women cultural artists, a Rajasthani sand artist creating solar panel-led sand art, and the presence of women beneficiaries and inspirational women from Rajasthan. The Royals’ CEO, Jake Lush McCrum, expressed the team’s commitment to supporting women-led transformation and creating a rural transformation model that can be replicated across the country.

Before the match, the Royals visited Sursingpura village to interact with the Foundation’s inspirational women who are leading transformation in the Sambhar block. The team participated in activities aimed at showcasing the work done by the Foundation to enable the empowered women of Rajasthan.

The Royals, currently second on the points table, will face RCB on Saturday with added motivation to hit boundaries and power homes in their home state. With 24 sixes already in their three matches, the team aims to score more in the #PinkPromise match and contribute to women empowerment and clean energy initiatives.
