DPL 2024: Most Wickets Updated After PD 6 vs NDS Match No. 17

Another doubleheader day was recorded in the big stage of the Delhi Premier League. In the first match, East Delhi Riders faced Central Delhi Kings, while Purani Delhi 6 clashed with North Delhi Strikers in the second. The bowlers stole the show, delivering brilliant performances and securing crucial wickets, shaking up the wicket-takers list with their impressive displays.

Central Delhi King Bowlers Shines:

East Delhi Riders and Central Delhi Kings faced each other in the 16th match of the tournament. While bowling in the first innings, the Central Delhi bowlers showcased decent performances. Harish Dagar secured the first wicket for the team. Along with showcasing batting efforts, Keshav Dabas excelled with the ball. He secured 2 wickets just by conceding 20 runs. Sumit Kumar secured 1 wicket. 

While defending the total, the East Delhi Riders bowlers struggled Harsh Tyagi and Simarjeet Singn secured the first two wickets early on. But after that, they lost control over the opponent. They conceded runs on crucial points. Bhagwan Singh, Rounak Waghela, and Mayank Rawat secured 1 wicket each. The Central Delhi Kings defeated them by 5 wickets.

Purani Delhi 6 Bowlers Nailed the Game:

 While bowling in the first innings, the North Delhi batters tried to make an impact. Vaibhav Kandpal broke the opening partnership after dismissing Arpit Rana. Manan Bhardwaj dismissed Sanat Sangwan. Vaibhab Kandpal ended up taking 2 wickets in 28 runs. Pranshu, Suyash Sharma, Aman Bharti-I and Manan Bhardwaj secured 1 wicket each. 

On the other hand, Purani Delhi 6’s bowling performance was exciting. Ayush Singh was their standout bowler. He single-handedly secured 5 wickets in 27 runs. Other than him, no other bowlers got a wicket. Captain Lalit Yadav conceded 21 runs and secured no wickets. Prince Yadav conceded 48 runs and secured no wickets. Despite those performances, they won the match by 20 runs.
