The Indian fans witnessed another thrilling day at the Delhi Premier League 2024. The league organized two thrilling double-header matches. In the first match, East Delhi Riders faced Central Delhi Kings. In the second match, Purani Delhi 6 and North Delhi Strikers locked horns. The batters from those teams showcased excellence. Those impacted the most runs list.
In the 16th match of the tournament, East Delhi Riders had an amazing start. Opener Sujal Singh played a knock of 31 runs in 28 balls. Anuj Rawat scored a responsible half-century and played a knock of 61 runs in 44 balls. Skipper Himmat Singh played a responsible knock of 63 runs in 33 balls. Samarth Seth scored 12 runs. Depending on those performances, he scored 172 runs.
On the flip side, the Central Delhi Kings got a shaky start. In the second over, they lost their first wicket. Dhruv Kaushik scored 15 runs in 8 balls. Hiten Dalal added 31 runs in 18 balls. Keshav Dabas delivered a standout performance. He scored an exceptional half-century and remained unbeaten scoring 52 runs in 27 balls. Sunit Kumar played an unbeaten knock of 13 runs in 5 balls. With those fighting knocks, they won the match by 5 wickets.
The 17th match of the Delhi Premier League become extra special as Purani Delhi 6 and North Delhi Strikers faced each other in a thrilling game. While batting in the first innings, Purani Delhi 6 got a good start. Captain Arpit Rana played a knock of 42 runs in 26 balls. Sanat Sangwan scored 47 runs. Arnav Bugga played a knock of 39 runs in 29 balls. Mayank Gusain was unbeaten on 40 words in 12 balls. With those exceptional batting performances, they put on a total of 192/6 on the board.
While batting in the second innings, North Delhi Strikers lost their first few wickets quickly. Vaibhav Kandpal scored a half-century and played a knock of 57 runs in 44 balls. Kshitiz Sharma was dismissed in 15 runs. Yajas Sharma played a knock of 41 runs in 20 balls. Vaibhav Rawal scored 32 runs in 17 balls. But those efforts fell short. They lost the match by 20 runs.
